Roofing sheet FAQs
Which roofing sheet do I need?
Box profile is the modern standard for agricultural and industrial roofs; corrugated gives the traditional rounded look; fibre cement breathes, which makes it a favourite for livestock buildings; and insulated panels give you a warm roof in a single sheet. If you are not sure, our roofing calculator walks you through it in a couple of minutes, or call the team on 01278 228670.
How many roofing sheets do I need?
Divide your roof width by the sheet's covering width and round up, then multiply by the number of slopes. Our roofing calculator does the whole job for you — sheets, flashings and the right fixings for your build — and prices it ready to add to your basket.
What lengths do roofing sheets come in?
Our metal box profile and corrugated sheets are cut to your exact length, up to 7 metres per sheet, so you don't pay for metres you don't need. Fibre cement and GRP rooflights come in a range of stocked lengths. Longer slopes are simply covered with overlapping sheets.
How much do roofing sheets cost?
It depends on the profile, thickness and finish — every product page shows the price per metre, and prices can be viewed excluding or including VAT using the toggle at the top of the page. For a full-roof price including flashings and fixings, use the roofing calculator.
Metal or fibre cement — which is better?
Metal sheets are lighter, quicker to fit and available in a wide colour range. Fibre cement is breathable — it absorbs and releases moisture, which controls condensation naturally — and it is quieter in rain, which is why it has been the livestock-building choice for decades. Our metal sheets and flashings are made here in Somerset. Our Big 6 fibre cement and insulated panels are made at our own plant in Italy and held in stock at Highbridge.
Do you deliver roofing sheets?
